Summary: A new member came to the Contemporary Visual Culture Study Group, or "Genshiken" for short. Chika Ogigami is a girl who proudly professes to "dislike otaku" while entering the club room, which is the nerd's den. Genshiken members have trouble dealing with it, but it turns out later that Ogigami himself is also an otaku who can't help it ... In the latter half of the story, the popular character Ogigami, who livened up the love story with the main character Sasahara, finally appeared. Her success eventually led to the TV series "Genshiken 2".
